Whew, I’ve struggled my way through Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. Translated (in 1862) by George Long. The language is dense so it’s hard going. I’d love to see a modern feminist translation. I’ve clipped a number of pithy remarks though. 📚

@Medievalist Thanks for the offer, and only if you really feel like it. I got the gist. I know there are other translations, such as the Penguin one, I believe. The one I read was free for Kindle — I don’t read on paper unless really forced to. I’m going to move on now to other works, such as by Epictetus.
