Hello, photo bloggers! I created a new plug-in that replaces your home page with a grid of photos and links for your other pages. No post text on the home page. Hope it’s a good start for people who want to go all-in on photos. Called simply “Home page photos”.
@pratik You can hide that with CSS… Paste something like this in Design → Edit CSS: .me .description { display: none; }
@pratik I’m going to work on making it responsive. For the gaps, I think we can fix that… It’s using the Masonry layout library but I’m not familiar with the right settings to make that work yet without gaps.
@manton soooo, in theory I could have a second blog and replace any theme with just this, and be just a grid of photos with no links to written posts. I presume?
@Gaby Yep! It works with any theme, and the individual post pages will still use that theme. You can also still have text posts, they just won’t show up on the home page.
@manton nice! I’m playing with it on my test blog… so far the don’t show as a grid more like, instagram style… perhaps is because I don’t have that many photos? But yeah, my idea is to have a dedicated blog for just photos no text lists whatsoever. Also noticed that if I upload multiple ones, it only shows the first photo
