Playing around with Raindrop.io today. It’s really nicely done. I’ve added support for importing Raindrop.io bookmarks to Micro.blog bookmarks. There’s also an API, so maybe we’ll have more integration later.

@manton that’s great news. It’s such a great app and service. Awesome to see the integration. Thank you!
@manton Long been considering switching to Raindrop from Pinboard (or just use both).
As for Mb: I exclusively use mb for other social posts. The workflow of having prominent bookmarks for stuff I want to follow up on works great! I know other socials technically has it, but mb has the most streamline implementation by far!
@esamecar your wish was granted. He is not located in Russia. See nitter.net/raindrop_... 😊
@manton This is great! Once the API is sorted out, can we also sync bookmarks from Raindrop to Micro.blog? Selectively via a tag?
@pratik In theory, but I think I should wait to hear what people want before we implement sync. There are a lot of ways we could handle it.
@manton Ok. Just wanted to know if it was possible. My use case - I bookmark on Raindrop liberally but want to sync some of the bookmarks to Micro.blog that I want to blog about. I’ve already created a collection on Raindrop that I add to if I want it crossposted on Mastodon
@pratik Got it, that helps me understand the use case. Makes a lot of sense to me. I'll investigate!
@moonmehta @pratik Oh, that's an interesting way to handle it. Personally I think I'd want to import as bookmarks because then you can edit how you want it to appear in blog posts, or make highlights for quotes to use.
@moonmehta No, that's what I do with Mastodon. For Micro.blog, I would want them imported as Mb bookmarks first. That would let me leverage Mb's features to highlight and then blog about them in a longer form.
@manton @tchambers I seems great, but doesn’t save data offline. You can’t read or manage links and articles while on an airplane, etc. https://raindropio.canny.io/feature-requests/p/offline-support-reading-viewing
@manton
yes I love Raindrop. This is my review of the app.
