About halfway through the 4th season of For All Mankind. Enjoying it. Sort of forgot some of the characters from previous seasons… Would love to rewatch the whole series when it wraps up.

@manton @jacks
I just remembered I have 2 more episodes to go. I’ve always been a “what if” alternative history buff and this series has been buttering my toast for a minute. I really wish it could get the accolades that it deserves. The continuity, research, alternative rewrites of events and the plausibility are very well rooted, and the make-up, set design and CGI along with the players themselves gives a level of immersible reality that I’ve not experienced with the genre until now.

@manton How funny! I just started it about 2 weeks ago, and I’m still only in season 1, but it’s a great show. Very thought provoking… and sort of the inverse “alternative reality” from The Handmaid’s Tale (which, frankly is kind of refreshing.)

@jacks I was a late starter as well due to not being a big fan of alternative history stories. I got hooked in season 2.

@manton Having lived outside the gates of Johnson Space Center for 11 years, it was pretty interesting for the first 2 seasons – they got a lot of the history and culture stuff right. But they totally jumped the shark and lost me as a viewer on the way to Mars. Suspension of disbelief was not possible.

@manton I’m slightly ahead of you with one episode to go in season 4. Get ready for the gut punch. Ooof.
