Slowly getting back to normal after a few days without power. Lights came back on last night, and it was like a luxury… Fast internet. Heater. Hot showers. The only reminder of what happened is a yard full of tree branches. Just hoping most of our live oaks survive this. ❄️

@manton Glad you have power again. Lots of trees down up here in Cedar Park as well. We were lucky to not have lost power. It is humbling to go without power or at least helpful to remind us of the wealth we have. Power, Water. We take so much for granted. Wishing you the best.

@manton That’s crazy you didn’t have power until last night but yup, some parts down south here also still don’t. Austin Energy really fucked up in terms of communication

@terrygrier Best to you as well. It really is amazing what infrastructure we have from the city when I sit back to think about it.

@pratik We have Pedernales Coop and were also disappointed with the communication. I'm sure it's hard to estimate. But I'd love to see just more raw data... What crews are available, where, is it down power lines, how many, etc.

@manton it's starting to feel like everyone in Texas needs their own backup generator.

@manton Strange. Circle C is also Pedernales and they didn't lose power at all.

@pratik @manton we only lost power for 12 hours but no Internet for 3 days. Happy internet is back this morning! 😂👍🙌🏼

@llbbl shudder that's even worse than a power outage 😆 It was my kid's first prolonged power outage (also only 12 hours) and he nearly lost his goddamn mind.

@terrygrier Leaving Austin on the way to Dallas this morning, I passed a line at least half a mile long of trucks towing trailers full of fallen tree branches. I guess taking them to a dump or some kind of disposal/processing facility.

@manton My partner's family have been posting pictures of all the oaks etc split and fallen over around Austin. Amazing and scary! They have power back too. I'm glad things have improved. 🥶
