@manton – I hope you are doing well. I am trying to solve a problem were images that are in my RSS feed for Micro.blog but are neither posted to it nor cross-posted to Twitter / Mastodon. Could you provide me with an XML snippet from a working RSS feed? Many thanks in advance!

@yves Just glancing at your RSS feed, I think if you added width/height tags to the images it would fix it. Micro.blog tries to skip images that might be small or tracking pixels, so giving it the size helps.

@yves For posts that have a title (usually longer posts), Micro.blog just includes a tiny preview but doesn't include the text or photo in the timeline or in cross-posts. The solution is just to leave the title blank for short posts.
