Why does the ARIA Practices Guide have such bad guidance? Never use menubars unless it is a menu like in a desktop application: File/Edit/View, that kind of stuff. (APG shows what can be done with ARIA, but does not care if it makes sense in practice.)
@besenwagen It’s honesty one of the most common issues I see. So easy to explain and train people to do the right thing, but we just leave it to devs and their google skills.

@matt Because it is navigation, not an application menu. Menu roles are for application menus, links are for navigations. Mixing them does help no one. This is also basically what Marco says in his article.
