Portland, OR recommendations? I’ll be in town for the next week. What’s good these days? It’s been ~25 years since I moved away, and a pandemic since I last spent time here. What’s new? What’s good?

@garo Food cart pods are the most obvious thing that's different since when I moved here 25 years ago. Complete with seating and bars. I'd look through pdx.eater.com to see what's good near where you are. On 23rd Ave. my favorite new thing is Steven Smith Tea Café which also has outdoor seating.

@jean I just heard of Steven Smith via Nick Offerman's newsletter. I'm waiting for delivery of my first order!

@wldunbar It’s good tea. And I like the packaging. I really like the tearoom too.

@bixfrankonis @jean thank you both for the tips. I didn't expect goats, but that was foolish of me not to think there would be such a thing in Portland haha! The eater link is going to be so useful! I was already planning to visit the Tao of Tea, I'll add Steven Smith to the list too. Thanks!

@jean Made it to the tasting room (and factory!) on SE Washington. It was yummy and worth a trip!

thanks @jean, that sounds nice. Hopefully next time I'm in the area. I'm usually around NE, so not far.
