Thanks to @stett for updating the ā€œMarfa dark modeā€ plug-in for Micro.blog with a better color palette and other improvements. You can install it or update to the latest version under the Plug-ins section of Micro.blog.

@manton I’m not clear. Does the plugin automatically update if I have it installed? At the moment it just says, ā€œUninstallā€ next to plugins that I have installed.

@crossingthethreshold It is a little confusing. You have to go to Plug-ins, click the ā€œFind Plug-insā€ button, and then click the ā€œUpgradeā€ button in associated with ā€œMarfa dark modeā€. I’ll post a picture of what it looks like if you are still having trouble.

@mandaris Yeah, the interface is a little confusing. It doesn’t automatically update but I’d like to improve this. @crossingthethreshold, let us know if you aren’t able to update to the latest version.

@manton some good improvements @stett but I still feel a few liabilities for me to use

@crossingthethreshold love the ā€œOn this Dayā€ page. Reminds me of the section in Cory Doctorow’s Pluralistic. I’d love to know how! I’d implement a more recent exponential version: 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year ago. Would keep me honest about posting every day :D

@manton @mandris Thank you both for your help. With your directions I have been able to upgrade the plug-in.

@w4rner It was some code that @cleverdevil introduced a couple of years back. I can’t speak to the technical details, but here it is on GitHub.

@crossingthethreshold @cleverdevil : do you know if I could easily customize to my use case above? It would basically mean tweaking items_for function in fetch.py right? | p.s. šŸ‘¹ you and @cleverangel šŸ˜‡ are defo M.b’s cutest couple!

@uncertainquark yup those are two of the bugs mentioned as ā€œa few liabilitiesā€ above issue from last year: github.com/microdotb… . FYI the Dark Mode is @stett not Manton
