@Havn Thanks! I'd like to solve that linking problem too. It's sort of an unexpected side effect to how the fediverse works. If we changed the URLs it would simplify some things but also tie your identity more to Micro.blog instead of your own domain name, so not really sure what is best.
@Havn I am totally confused by this “place where the button is”— if I want to reply, that’s why I click that button, and the reply works. What page are you expecting to be moved to (outside of Mastodon) and why is that experience better? I feel like I’m missing something subtle.
@manton As far as I could understand from your explanation video, replying using Mastodon, doesn't add the reply to the person's account. Would it be technically possible to create something similar to the "Reply on Mastodon" plugin, but without the need to have cross-posting enabled?
@vladcampos I think the way to handle that would be to have an option when replying (using this new feature) to also copy the reply to Mastodon if that's what someone wanted. Perhaps that should be the default, but I wasn't sure.
@manton I see. I guess this goes right into that rabbit hole we were talking about on my podcast.
On that subject, does Micro.blog support signing in to other services with a Micro.blog account? I'm seeing more and more Fediverse services adding the sign in with Mastodon option.
@vladcampos No, but that is something we could support. Any particular service you're thinking of?
