@vincent I use my iPad in landscape and having full width posts feels a little wide for me. Would love an option to have a sidebar or something to help readability in that environment.

@vincent I don't have any major requests – the ability to adjust the font size especially is what gives me joy about Gluon. In the realm of fun but not critical, I'd love if the homescreen icon color could be changed (such as to match the accent color, in a similar way that the Carrot Weather app lets you change the icon). The use case is that if I were able to change the icon to the orange color, it'd pop more as being M.b. at a glance.

@zorn thank you Michael. Yes, sidebar is certainly something I want to add. The iPad app has always just been a bigger iPhone version... hope to make it extra nice though for it 😀

@sproutlight thanks! Yes, I’ll add matching icons to Gluon for sure. I did want to add them for the next update I’m shipping soon, but decided not to... 😬

@vincent A minor request for allowing different app icons on iOS. (Great feature to unlock as a bonus for tip jar payments)

@vincent A minor request was a bunch of different kinds of icons. While I do love the care you have put into the app, there are some design choices that I would approach somewhat differently ...but tbh I don't think it is my place to tell you how to do your app, you've got a clear vision for it.

@vincent the ability to hide or organise the topics in discover would be great. Some I’m not interested in, and some I am are near the bottoms.

@vincent also, being able to reply with just a swipe instead of a swipe and a tap would be great.

@vincent Glad to hear it! (And sorry to duplicate requests.) I'm very excited that you're rewriting for Apple platforms. I'd love for Gluon to be a poster-child for adoption of best native interface elements (much like I think NetNewsWire does for RSS).

@vincent I like how in the Micro.blog iOS app that when I use markdown it shows up. I mean when I add _ then the text shows in italics or that when I put links the text changes colour.

I think it’s maybe as a beginner user it’s helpful to see it!

@Omrrc @maique I hear you regarding the text editor 🙃 I think the solution is more a rich text editor than having to fiddle with markdown (someone else had a similar request). I’ll see what I can do there... failing that - yes, will also add nice inline styling.

@vincent I saw the rich text editor, and for me that would be overkill. I love how markdown works, it’s my favorite way to write. Inline styling would be more than enough, that’s handy for a quick check.

@maique Rich Text Editor is probably the wrong word haha. But I want to explore something more user friendly to the folks that don’t know Markdown as such. I’ll of course cater to both use cases haha. I think something visual, without the markdown syntax for people that just want to write without seeing all this extra syntax... and of course how it is now, just with better styling.

@maique ah sorry... I reckon you looked at Quill? Yeah, that was just an example. I like it when it’s simple... so I wouldn’t ruin it with a full on RTE.

@vincent Still have to check that one, never felt the need. My reference, other than the official one, is Drafts. They do a nice Markdown editor. Minimal styling, very sober.

@brandontreb yes... although I said that for a while now. I concentrated more on pure Micro.blog for a while... but it needs to be done. I have enough requests for it now 😊🙃
