@jimmitchell @vincent Thanks. I think the options pane in the new post window should be available when editing a post too.
@jimmitchell sounds good! I’ll try and add it for the next update @manton.
@jimmitchell Yes, that's a problem for me, too. @manton @vincent Similarly is being able to select a category when posting via iOS "share to". I often want to blog some photos (via a specific search in Photos), then share them to MB app for posting, but there's no ability to select a category.
@rscottjones @vincent That's something we can work on too. By the way for photos, check out the filters setting at the bottom of the Categories page on the web, to automatically assign a category for photo posts.
@manton @jimmitchell I've done the work on this and it should be in the next beta release ✌️
@manton @rscottjones I'll have a look at adding categories to the share sheet. Shouldn't be a problem.
@manton How is that supposed to work? I can only filter posts by text in title or body. There is no setting for images…
@holgerfrohloff I always use a 📷 emoji as the first character in my photo posts to filter them into the correct category. Not the best solution maybe, but it works pretty well for me.
@vincent something I just noticed in the current iOS version; when editing a post, it will remove any category that may have already been set.
@jimmitchell ah that makes sense. I do know that there is a thing on MB for using emojis as categories but I always forget it when writing posts.
@jimmitchell OK, thanks for reporting. That should not happen in the next version then as I pass through the categories now — which wasn’t the case beforehand, so I suspect it just deletes them if they were present originally (whoops).
@holgerfrohloff If you have a category called Photos or Photography, the Categories page will show a checkbox to enable this feature. Otherwise you can manually create a filter that just matches "<img" and it will match any post with an img tag.
