Wish I could permanently remove that red dot from the Threads favicon. Life is better with most app icon badges and notifications hidden, and this one is really glaring.
@jimmylittle Right, it's frustrating because it's so hard to get rid of. I've never seen an app try to override the favicon in this way. Too clever.
@manton Yes! I’ve disabled badges in all my apps except for the Phone app. I’ve even turned off sound on messages.
@jimmylittle @manton — also I think if it runs on Safari it's even worse because it seems to aggressively cache favicons and it's extremely difficult to clear them.
