@jarrod I just watched that! It's rather amazing seeing it compared to a "functional" version of the software! I'm both impressed and horrified. I don't want my robot overlords to be friendly and engaging, though I do see benefits in having humaniform robots. Sadly, Capitalism is so out of control right now, I doubt if they care.
@jarrod This video is amazing. Would be really fun if something like this actually shipped. Maybe whatever they learned will at least make it into the rumored "HomePod screen with robotic arm" thing.
@tylerknowsnothing Funnily enough, I think I’d hate it in a humanoid robot, but it’s charming to bring character and personality to inanimate objects.
@jarrod I hear you there. OTOH, the humanoid form integrates most easily without our human-centric world, so I get that, as well. Like any new technology, all the possible branches of reality can result in either good or terrible. whee...
