Until I get tired of doing it, I’m going to read my way through Time’s The 100 Best Fantasy Books of All Time & then when I finish or am tired of it, I’ll switch to The 100 Best YA Books of All Time until I get tired of that.

@kimberlyhirsh that’s a lot of reading! How long do you expect it to take to make your way through the first 100, assuming you do?
@mbkriegh Oh I'll definitely get tired of it before I finish. 100 books would probably take me 3 or 4 years.
@kimberlyhirsh will you start from the 100th or the 1st? Could make a difference in getting as far as you will get…
@mbkriegh I will start from whatever I can get easily but planning to go with earlier first.
@kimberlyhirsh are you planning to skip books you've read before, or revisit them? Either way fun idea! When I was in college I was working my way through Hugo winners for a while.
That list looks to do a good job of including diverse authors, thanks for sharing! Some new ones for my TBR 😊
There are still a couple well-known titles on there that I would recommend against, personally 😉 (Name of the Wind and the Wheel of Time series)
@tracydurnell Speak no ill of Name of the Wind to me beyond "It wasn't for me" because I love it. (Took me a while to get into but I got there eventually.) (And I don't love the 2nd one as much.) I ended up writing a whole post about this when I realized how many I'd already read.
@kimberlyhirsh haha, fair enough! Part of my "avoid this" is that I doubt the series will get finished, but others may be less bothered by that than I am! 😊
@tracydurnell I am saddened that we will probably never get Doors of Stone but I accepted it long ago.
