🔎 before picture:

Right now it’s a little foggy and breezy and ice is melting.

Later, we expect more rain, then ice, then snow, then wind.

@toddgrotenhuis Lovely. It’s hard to say how much snow we got with all the wind, but probably not much more than an inch. But the roads still look sketchy since (at least according to what I’ve heard) the road treatment methods don’t work with temperatures this low. 🤷‍♂️

@toddgrotenhuis also, pretty wild to see the Great Blue Heron and Belted Kingfisher (“Hal”), as well as many other birds, out in the subzero (F) temperatures

@toddgrotenhuis They're wearing built-in down comforters. Edited to add: I had to remind myself of that, when I saw the birds at our bird feeders this a.m. (we are in the single digits today)

@jabel stay safe! We had family from Louisville-area and Ohio come before the storm, but Lafayette folks and Cincinnati folks are coming today and tomorrow.
