New abolition curriculum from Mennonite Church USA.
I’m a little surprised to see the denomination being this bold these days, but there’s a good history of it.
@toddgrotenhuis That's really interesting! I guess it shows the influence that prison/police abolition movements are having now.
@jayeless Yes, very interesting. Anabaptists have often been pretty radical in some ways (pacifism, etc.) and I know three of the folks that developed this curriculum...but it's still pretty cool to see it come to fruition!
@toddgrotenhuis Refreshing! I’m still struggling with the old “defend your country” and the image of “wolves” that only come to steal, kill and destroy.
