I’ve seen a lot of snow in my life but never experienced ‘thundersnow’ (Scotland - BBC News)
@tkoola Portland had thundersnow a couple winters back. The word delighted me. It sounds scarier than what we actually experienced.
@macgenie Yes, I love the word. Very ominous. Once I thought I heard thunder in winter but it turned out to be a minor earthquake (which is the only time in my life I’ve experienced one). We do occasionally get April thunders and those come usually with hail or some other kind of frozen water
