I came across a very critical piece on Techdirt, and I agree with certain aspects of it.
@thosch Interesting, thanks for the link. I need to read the details of the law, and I’m not surprised there are holes and critiques. But I also think something needs to be done, so maybe this is the start.
@manton wow they discusssed something other than AI? 😂 I’ll have to listen to the show. Masnick’s take on the whole thing is something for sure. He reminds me of the 2nd Amendment folks on this topic. I think it’s pretty clear that, with very few exceptions, social media is a cesspool and something the world never needed. Even my Gen Z kids (also now adults) generally think so. I’m all for the experiment. Wish we’d do it here in the US.
