This thread from Mark Zuckerberg could’ve been written by Elon Musk. The last thing we need is X and Threads adopting the same perspective on moderation. I’ve read it through a few times and I feel worse about it each time.

But don’t like that you are also supposed to put a flower in your hair there, and maybe pay it forward for all the innovations you reaped from the fertile soil.

@manton As a Swede and thereby also European by automatic extension, I cannot believe my eyes and ears when I hear news like this. It only reaffirms my suspicion that Meta services were never my thing. To be honest, I almost signed up for an account at Facebook back in 2008 but I postponed my decision. Never been happier about that decision.

@z428 I’m in the same boat. But I’ve turned off all notifications save for comments, and followed everyone I can here. I never go to the app except to the reply to a comment.
