Can you remember the first cassette you ever purchased? Mine was Michael Jackson’s BAD. Also, remember that a classmate told me I was going to go to hell because I was listening to MJ.

@Gabz Probably “For Those About to Rock” with AC/DC, around 1984. Even more likely to go to hell for listening to that one. I already lived in Hell though., LOL.

@Gabz I remember buying empty ones to record songs from the radio, but I don’t remember buying from artists. Vinyl I do remember some kids songs. But soon after cds took over

@Gabz Definitely! Going back a bit now, but my first cassettes were Blondie’s Plastic Letters and Ian Dury’s Do It Yourself. Probably 1979. I became a big fan of cassette in preference to vinyl throughout my student years 🤷‍♂️
