Love this metaphor from Dave Winer about how Micro.blog handles feeds and cross-posting:
It’s sort of a Grand Central station for moving stuff around among the twitter-like systems.

@manton The difference in post lengths and thumbnail creation make it harder for me to use the feature than I'd like, but Dave Winer's link blog is an excellent use case.
I also constantly recommend #MicroBlog whenever people complain about multiple platforms.
These almost always come on Threads. Indeed, it might make sense to set up a Micro.blog account on that platform and perhaps Bluesky simply to highlight more what you're doing.
@manton @manton MB's support for crossposting is for me by far the best feature of Micro.blog. Sure, it's a good blogging platform but there are other good blogging platforms. Cross-posting sets MB apart.
I also like the way MB lets you post untitled AND titled posts. This feature is also great, and also special to MB.
@markstoneman My current solution to the variable-post-lengths problem is to simply ignore it. I post what I want to MB and let the cross-poster and target platforms truncate wherever they want. I have done other solutions at other times.
@manton Is the cross posting to Threads going to move out of beta soon? I've been using the manual push but it would be great to not have to think about it.
@stevepbrady Hopefully soon. It’s only beta because Meta hasn’t approved it yet, and I need to resubmit it to them.
