@JohnPhilpin That's a nice overview of his career. I like nearly everything he does but Blackfield has never grabbed me.
@stefp I get it … I do find that for some people his heavier stuff is hard to get in to and Blackfield is an easier to engage entry point.
For me, I prefer his more recent solo work, but I tend to be biased towards complexity in music generally - and then might balance it out with some ‘barry manilow! …. so maybe Blackfield is my Wilson ‘Manilow’ !
That said simplicity can absolutely rock … I still lover Permeating after countless plays.
