For those complaining that Adobe is breaking their promise to “offer a standalone version of Lightroom indefinitely”.

@jack good call out! While Lightroom CC cannot, at a reasonable price, host my 135K catalog, I did migrate my 2017 photos. I’ll continue to use LR Classic CC for the majority of my photos, I’ll move with the future for as much as possible.

@bbohling I'd recently went all-in with Apple Photos for my "library" but LRCC feels like what I'd hoped Photos would be. Plus, I'm betting that it gets better quickly. I'll be bringing in 2017 also to test things.

@jack yeah, way disappointed in Photos, but I was a long time Aperture user so have high standards. :)

@jack @bbohling I've grown to love iCloud Photo Library.

@stefp while I love iCloud Photo Library, the editing part is horrible for anyone doing anything other than just your everyday photos with an iOS device. Especially for those used to Aperture, LightRoom, CaptureOne, etc.

@bbohling Yes. It’s the easy backup aspect I love. Tried Lightroom for a few months but found it very slow and a bit much for my own needs. The new version looks interesting though.
