@kandr3s My webmention may/may not have worked so I'm "@" mentioning you here; I’m back on GoBlog and need some help setting things up if you have some time… - can you help me set the same layout as you with the menu in the side instead of the top? - I also want to use a Google font… where are the layout templates in the file system and how can I ensure they stay there when upgrading my docker container? - how are you able to do things like your book and tv logs? -and how can I show syndication links with just the icons like you? I guess I really just want to make the same kind of layout you have and add 2 web fonts. 😆 I should’ve said that first. Can you give me a hand and tell me how to do it? 🙏🏾 thanks!

Hey starrwulfe 👋🏽 Happy to see you joined the GoBlog bandwagon! I haven’t used it behind a Docker container so things might be a little different but here’s what I did:

Updated the template at /original-assets/styles/styles.scss
Uploaded a fonts.css file to the GoBlog’s /static folder and imported it in the template @import url("/static/fonts.css"); - Remember that whenever you make changes to template file you need to run the script at /original-assets/build to actually generate the CSS.
Book logs at the moment are just archived HTML pages turned GoBlog posts. I’m hoping to finish a GoBlog-Bookshelves plugin soon and looking at integrating it with sparkles.
Movies are crossposted (PESOS) to my website from the Letterboxd RSS feed using a tool like IFTTT. I hope to turn this into a plugin too, eventually…
Syndication links are a GoBlog plugin you can edit at (/plugins/syndication). But of course if you just want to use my “theme” and add your own spices I will share it on GitHub soon (currently on the road so kinda slow for everything 😅) but feel free to reach out for any help you need and come share feedback in the GoBlog Discussions.

Right-- I may need to ask @jlelse how to work within the container to make the changes; I'm guessing I just need to mount more folders in the same manner as ./data ./config and ./static

yep, special shout out to @manton for crafting this fabulous software and community around it! 👏🏾 It's pretty easy to use this functionality to follow up on webmentions as long as the recipient is also a fellow micro.blog user since there's no way to do threaded webmentions (yet) and I'm OCD about conversation threads 🥴
