It's not a trivial thing to implement and get right, as there's a diverse bunch of software out there. So please report any bugs you might stumble upon; it will improve the experience for everyone.

I don’t understand how the Mastodon compatible username works on Micro.blog. I have a Mastodon account since before and things I post here are cross posted to that Mastodon account: @ndreas@mastodon.social. But if I try to add a Mastodon user name here on Micro.blog it would be @ndreas@... www.ndreas.eu
