Since Linux Desktop has limited support for emoji and no good input method editor (IME) I could find, I’ll have to use a cheat sheet with Unicodes. Most emoji are unsupported, though, which is a shame. To enter, press the ctrl+shift+u key combo, followed by the hex-digits. 👨‍💻

@renevanbelzen I can't remember from the top of my head, and unfortunately is too far away from a machine running Raspberry Pi OS right now. But on the Ubuntu machine, I have at hand, I can press Ctrl + . to show the emoji picker. Or right-click and choose Insert Emoji.

But it can very well be that Raspberry Pi OS lacks this support. So maybe something like Splatmoji could be worth checking out?

You could also look into installing additional fonts to get better support for emojis.

@sod Most of it didn't work, including splatmoji. The font I had to copy manually, because it had been moved since the article you referred to (the rest did work, though). Many thanks 🥰
