When I take the wrong…salad?

@smokey 😊 is not that I am allergic, I'm just not a big fan of fresh tomatoes on my salad. I did eat though

@vasta @smokey @gabz Tomatoes are in the nightshade family which is not an uncommon allergen. Most people won't react quite as...intensely as @vasta, with the most common reaction being either a simpler upset tummy, itchy skin, or perhaps gas.

And yes, I'm in that camp as well.

@jessekelber @vasta @gabz Ah. From the texts, I thought maybe it was a nut-style (anaphylaxis) allergy, but sounds like it was just hyperbole ;-) I wasn’t aware that nightshades were not-uncommon allergens, though. Heartbreaking, indeed :-(
