My good pal Rachel, 79 years old, has created a podcast: How To Be Old:

we can’t imagine ourselves being older, let alone very old. … We still feel young … getting old takes us by surprise … Your future old self will always be a mystery. … But … pick up clues from other people.

@Miraz I think I need to add this to my just-published Monday links post, even though it’s now Tuesday when I’m seeing this ;-)

It always amazes me how we get these interesting themes going on Micro.blog, where people are writing or sharing things that relate or build upon each other without any explicit links, around the same time. (In my Monday reading, there was a strong living/aging theme, and a small music one.)

@smokey Unfortunately Rachel isn't a Micro.Blog blogger, but she's a very interesting person: novelist, poet, playwright, plain language expert, and many other things.

@Miraz 👍 (But she does have you here to share some of her work and introduce Micro.blog bloggers to her—I recall you having linked to her at least once before.)

@Miraz Interesting idea. I’ve added it to my podcast queue. From the description, it sounds like I’m right in the target demo, at 50.

@vasta Rachel's been thinking about and working on the matter of growing older / ageism for a few years now. It should be quite a good podcast.
