Finished reading: A Morbid Taste for Bones by Ellis Peters 📚 4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🦴 Very enjoyable read. The writing style is not the easiest to digest (esp after a long hiatus from the genre). However I feel like my vocabulary has expanded immensely by the end. Highly recommend! Brother Cadfael reminds me of P... simonedot.com

@jean A Body on the Beach would be my suggestion. It’s not as literary as Ellis Peters’ work but it’s cozy and the setting and characters have grown on me!

@sim0ne I really like the Cadfael series, it’s the reason I had Shrewsbury on my list of places to visit when I first went to the UK on holidays.

@sim0ne @jean if you like a bit of crime in a historical setting have you read any Lindsey Davis? Her Falco series set in Ancient Rome is pretty good and an easy read.
