Poking around in WordPress because I wanted to see how they handle something in the UI, and I just noticed the “Create AI Podcast” sidebar menu item:

Pick a date range or a few specific posts and we’ll generate a two-host conversation, complete with narration and a ready-to-publish draft. Edit, refine, and hit Publish when you’re happy.

I want more people to podcast, but creating a podcast with multiple fake hosts (for what is likely a solo personal blog) is weird and unnecessary. This is why so many people hate AI.

@iChris No idea! Can’t imagine many people would use it except for fun to experiment.

@manton This is what results from the trap of “producing content” rather than trying to actually communicate something others might find important, useful or interesting. 🤦🏼‍♂️

@sander That’s true, I should’ve specified WordPress.com. It’s one of their upgrades.
