Wanted to make my blog Creative Commons licensed again, so I created a little Micro.blog plug-in that adds a rel="license" tag. Defaults to “CC BY” but can be changed to another license in the settings. Not sure yet how licenses should interact with our future AI overlords, though, if at all.

@manton The LLM-engorging just ignored CC and any other copyright so … maybe “if at all” is accurate

@manton I’m a big fan of Creative Commons and love that this is now in the plugin repository. Curious, would this do anything more than copy/pasting the CC block from the website into your site? I see that code block also has a rel="license" attribute.

@jthingelstad Nope, doesn't do anything special! In fact there are advantages to copy/pasting from the Creative Commons site because you can have more control over showing it or linking to it.
