Gave up 30 minutes into “Spider Man: No Way Home” and watched Wim Wenders' “Wings of Desire” instead. Glad I did. The special effects and story were much more believable and interesting.

@jack Wings was a fine movie. Now that you've brought it up, I'll have to see it again — it's been many years.

@jack I love "Wings of Desire!" Now you've made me need to watch it again. Maybe it's time to re-activate the Netflix DVD account...

@jack Wings of Desire is one of my all time favourite movies, and I watch it regularly. I am also expecting @jean to chime in here, she also likes Wim Wenders.

@helgeg @jean Paris, Texas is another favorite. I have a whimsical list of "best openings" and "best closings" of movies, and Paris, Texas gets my "best opening" award (along with The Godfather's "I believe in America" shot).

@helgeg @JMaxB I'm happy that the responses here have been about the love for Wings and not the sideways diss of Spiderman :)

@jack Never watch superhero movies so I have no opinions about them.

@de Thanks. It's called "Wabi" and my only contribution was choosing it :). I finally found a theme I didn't tire of in 20 minutes.
