I manually copy/paste the quote part and then use my Likes and Replies plugin to fetch the post title & author, pre-pend the link to the post and send the relevant webmention.

@roelwillems while the "likes and replies" plug-in is specific to WordPress, I think what you wnat to accomplish can be done in other ways. If you are running Google Chrome try CreateLink. Here's a link to a Safari workflow for iOS/iPadOS that might work for you. Clips is a clipboard, keyboard, and widget that does the same thing.

I have not used any of these. I can do this via a MarsEdit extension/bookmarklet. Like @colinwalker, I use WordPress.

@khurtwilliams @roelwillems Don't forget that @manton also implemented quotebacks for micro.blog. Maybe worth a look.
