@ridwan It's a reference to the Jim Jones cult mass murder/suicide in Guyana in 1987. I wish people wouldn't use it; seems like a mis-appropriation of a tragedy. Not criticizing you here, btw.

@petebrown Probably a typo, but it was 1978. I remember it well, because I had just started my first year of college. I could not get my mind around it, not then, not now. That’s a good point about not using that metaphor, which I do myself and will now endeavor to stop and to remind others.
