Finished reading: Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson 📚

@ridwan I was! Over the last year I’ve now read all of his Cosmere books, except the graphic novels. Whew.

@manton @ridwan That is a lot of pages to cover in a year. 😂 The pace at which he produces words is utterly astounding.

@chriskrycho The scope (and word count) of some of these books really is something. I felt like this one dragged in the middle, but about 3/4 of the way through it started coming together. Now just gotta wait years for book 5.

@chriskrycho @manton I’m not if he is an excellent writer or just a consistent one. I have not read his books so I’m just speculating here. 🤣

@ridwan @manton I’m very comfortable putting him in the "consistent" bucket, but "excellent" is hard to define—my mom taught me growing up to think of books in terms of their substance and quality as popcorn, mashed potatoes, or steak. I think Sanderson may be excellent popcorn. 😏

@ridwan @chriskrycho @manton Agreed that Sanderson is consistent to my mind, though I thought Elantris was excellent.

@pimoore I loved Elantris. Hopefully without spoiling anything, I'm glad I read Elantris (and Warbreaker) before finishing Rhythm of War... So much for potential in how these worlds could fit together.

@manton Thanks Manton, haven’t read those other two but will add them to my list (in that order of course).

@pimoore I have got Elantris on my Kindle. Sanderson himself recommends reading Elantris becase its a standalone novel. I have heard some pretty good reviews on BookTube. @chriskrycho @manton
