@pratik word. You can tap me when something happens I haven’t been running four years ahead of. The problem for me is I have a better grip on our current reality (and what constitutes news) then our journalists do (to put it mildly). As I am today, I was 100% alone back when I originally felt what it was like to be fully unthrottled with a lifted depression, so there was never any motivation to pursue complete ideation and I moved on with my life in isolation. Reconnecting with a psychiatrist that made me feel seen seems to have unthrottled me again. We will see how far I get this time with my expectations set to isolation.

@pratik my personal stance is that I'm limiting my inputs to the kinds of things that I can actually help affect change. So largely I'm limiting national news and focusing more on local. The last time, I spent so much energy on wasted angst and anger that it more or less paralyzed me. This time, I'm going to focus on things I can help with.
