Its hard to take micro.blog seriously as a platform if publishing even the most basic post takes 5-10 seconds in 2024. A post of mine has not even appeared and is still in “publishing latest changes to your blog…” lol.

@pratik it was! And then it went back to same way in the last 2 days. The last two posts took more than 15 seconds - I basically gave up and came back after a while to see them both posted.

@stupendousman Just tested and it did go through quickly. Reach out to @manton. Maybe it is your account-specific issue

@pratik it’s not a mission critical issue for me so I don’t bother @manton or @help - it’s just a annoying nit that I don’t expect to see in todays web apps. But not it’s not bothersome enough for me that I feel like I missed something by waiting 10 seconds.

@stupendousman @pratik That fix last week was mostly the delay right after pressing the post button. It’ll still sometimes get hung up actually publishing… I’ll keep improving it. It’s unique to Micro.blog because of how we send everything through the Hugo pipeline.
