I made a little video of my time in Colorado last week, from short video clips and live photos. This is also a test of potentially longer videos on Micro.blog… I cheated to upload this because the file is bigger than the current limit.

@manton Live photos would be great to see on the timeline. BTW video upload is not yet enabled in the new 3.0 version, right?
@manton It's working well on Micro.blog (assuming it is intentionally square), but it doesn't appear properly when subscribed on Mastodon (at least not in Ivory on mastodon.social)…
The post has an attached video, but it doesn't show or play.
I wonder if it's the instance unable to cache it due to size or something…
@ryanbooker Interesting. If I view it on Mastodon on the web, is says it's not available but I can click and download the video. (And yeah, intentionally square.)
@pratik Yes, you can use the web version of Micro.blog, or in the app from the Uploads screen you can upload from Files too.
@maique @ryanbooker @matt It appears Mastodon has a 100 MB limit for videos. I assume it refuses to cache it on the instance and so it can only be downloaded, and Ivory doesn't know what to do.
@manton Along these lines, it seems importing video posts from pixelfed at the moment isn't working/supported?
@z428 Can you explain more about what you're trying to do? Importing into a blog, or following someone on Pixelfed…?
@manton Ah sorry, could have been more verbose here. I'm trying to import the posts in my own pixelfed account using its atom feed - pixelfed.social/users/z42... . For pictures, this seems to work. For yesterdays clip however, it didn't... .
