@vincent My favourite thing about pinned profiles is how quickly and easily it solves this problem; I can hand-pick the people who are genuinely worth me checking with such intensity. Between that, Bookmarks, RSS, and you know, browser bookmarks I feel much happier about various uses of the timeline when compared to the timeline sync mechanism.

@vincent I agree 100% with you. I dislike both timeline position memory and those pesky numbers showing how many posts behind I am. This doesn’t solve FOMO, really and goes against digital wellness…

@danielsantos Aren’t the pesky numbers more to blame than timeline sync? People can always tap to go to the top but not the other way around unless it’s designed to give that choice @vincent

@pratik I guess the numbers cause more anxiety. Maybe apps should do like @vincent implemented it in Gluon, and display only “new” somewhere, without saying how many… and sure, a single tap moves us to the top :)
