I had my doubts about a no-replies timeline, but based on feedback we added a new setting for it under Account. It’s the kind of thing you have to try to know if it works for you. Harder to find new people and conversations, but good if you temporarily need a quiet timeline.

@manton I think of it as finding new people and conversations when I want to, the same way we deep dive into Wikipedia rabbit holes when we want to. 🙂

@manton how does this affect the RSS feeds for my timeline?
I’d love to have different feeds available with the same separation of content.
This way I could use the full firehouse via web and just the posts without any replies in my feed reader.

@muhh The setting will apply to the RSS feeds too. It’s essentially global for any part of Micro.blog that uses the timeline.

@toddgrotenhuis @vincent On the web, that’s indicated by whether the “Conversation” link appears. We’ll have to figure out the best way to handle this in the upcoming 3.0 for iOS. Maybe a tiny icon.

@manton Yay that’s one of my favorite features in Gluon and the fact that it works on the RSS feed is icing on the cake!

@manton I know that just today I was praising the timeline conversations but it’s super useful to have a way to turn that off too. Great feature.
