At Micro Camp, I hinted at some new features coming for Sunlit. As @cheesemaker and I work on it, we’re opening up the TestFlight beta again. You can sign up here. (Nothing new yet… This is just to get the beta ball rolling again.)

@manton I'm excited about this. I see the buzz that Glass has received, and I don't think there's any reason why Sunlit/Micro.blog shouldn't also get some of that. Good luck with the development. I'm on the beta train. 🚆
@manton I’d love to see a feature where if you’re using Sunlit the posts in there don’t appear in your main timeline. I find I don’t use the app as much as I would like because I end up seeing the photos anyway.
@philbowell We've considered it, but I think it gets weird if you then stop using Sunlit, but you're still not seeing photos in Micro.blog. It would have be smart about enabling and disabling itself, which means it will probably be confusing.
@manton ah good point, I didn’t think of it like that.
@philbowell @manton I’ve wanted that feature for a while. I understand this won’t suit most people but I’d be happy to have it as a switch for filtering the timeline, which is also something I’d like to have in general; though again, that is probably difficult to do and not great to expose to the average person.
I think it’s even more attractive since photos in the timeline, whether using the native or third-party apps, are quite big and at least on the iPad and the web looks and feels pretty bad. (yes I’m going to write this up for GitHub 😇)
