An Update About My New Quest of Leaving Adobe Lightroom: blog.numericcitizen.me
@numericcitizen If you use Classic, Avalanche might be worth a look https://cyme.io/avalanche-photo-conversion/
@numericcitizen I dropped Lightroom last month. Without thinking much as I had backups. But it’s still pending to import a bunch of photos on Apple photos. I was only using for my Fuji photos. But it did not made sense paying 12 € for a cropping software. My photos workflow is a mess and almost nonexistent now. 😞
@pcora because of a lack of time, I’ll tackle this project early next year…. but I’ll be planning for it soon
@numericcitizen yup. I’ll probably make this a small winter project. It’s not like there are many options. I just wish Apple Photos was a bit better for organization. Or that they bring aperture back. One can dream..
@pcora for photos that used to be in Adobe’s ecosystem, I might decide just to drop them in a folder organization structure… not within Apple’s iCloud Photos Library.
@DaveyCraney every year around about now I think … this year mail and photos on iOS will have smart folders.
@numericcitizen I was tempted to do this. But I feel like such photos would just sit there forgotten. 🤔
@pcora you are right. With Lr, I process about 10% of my photos. Those would be imported into Apple Photos. They would then be resurfaced from time to time.
@DaveyCraney one thing that Photomator (or Pixelmator, to my knowledge) doesn’t do is lens correction. Does it matter with the iPhone? 🤔
