Now that it’s October (!) I’m getting excited for travel later this month. Going to be near Seattle for a bit, and then… Can’t believe this: SEA → CHI → NYC on Amtrak. Just spent a little time reviewing plans and handing them to Dots to see if it can help keep me organized. 🚂

@manton Fun! Maybe an atproto meetup in one of those cities will line up with your schedule

@manton Nice! That CHI -> NYC leg will likely use The Pennsylvanian route. Perfect time & route to check out the fall colors while leaf peeping out the window. Also, Horseshoe Curve is pretty rad.

@jinscho I should’ve researched this more, because I’d love to see Horseshoe Curve! But my route is Lake Shore Limited, so missed that part.

@manton If you were taking the empire builder from Seattle to Chicago, it means you’ll be coming through Saint Paul, Minnesota and stopping for a bit. Please do let me know when that is and let’s see if we can arrange to meet and have me buy you some coffee.

@patrickrhone Thanks, that would be great! I’ll send you an email later. Amtrak of course isn’t known for punctuality, so I’m trying to be as chill as possible about delays too.

@manton Well, my schedule is usually very flexible and accommodating. Shoot me an email so I can make sure you have my phone number for texting, etc.
