@tkoola I’m a little embarrassed that I have never read it, although I have seen Bladerunner probably 30 times. The book tend to be even better.

@tkoola I read that a while back. Enjoyed it. @odd it is actually a long short story as I recall and it is a case where the movies elaborate beyond the original concept quite a bit. Recommend both. Blade Runner is one of those movies I watch enough to warrant owning.

@mbkriegh I didn’t know that. Even with my now limited attention span, I should be able to read that.

@mbkriegh @odd when I picked up the rather slim book I immediately thought of ”Man in the High Castle” which also was novella length but somehow they squeezed out several seasons of TV out of that (the book was good, never got into TV series)

@mbkriegh @tkoola What are your thoughts on the new Bladerunner?

@josephaleo @mbkriegh I think it was fine but completely forgettable. Looked amazin but didn’t capture the magic of the original. I might rank it higher if the soundtrack was not so basic hanszimmer work. The best moments were when they riffed on the original music

@josephaleo @tkoola I enjoyed the new BR but agree it was not as compelling as the first.
