@fahrni Thank you for sharing, and happy that finally you were properly diagnosed. Must feel good knowing what’s happening inside your brain, and be able to curb the ups and downs 🙂

@fahrni Thank you for being open about it, it can help other people see a doctor if they experience similar things in their life. Also good to hear that you’ve gotten some medication to help with the disorder! Some people sadly still believe all people that have to see a psychiatrist and get medication is crazy… I’ve been in and out of institutions many times for my Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and tried a lot of different medications, but have finally landed on a cocktail that seem to function pretty well. I’ve never felt crazy, and none of the professionals, nor people that know me would ever call me crazy. Of the many people I’ve met in the system, only a handful would fit the description (and only at bad times).

@fahrni Thanks for sharing. It's helpful to see other people be open about their mental health issues.

@fahrni I’m glad you are getting the treatment you need. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 in 1993. After one epic manic episode and hospitalization in 1995, I’ve been successfully treated with medication. It’s important that people know that it is possible to have a life you want to keep despite this disorder.

@fahrni Good on you for sharing your experience! I think it's so important for us as a society to destigmatise these conditions, and realise that there are treatments and people with them are all around us living fulfilling lives 🙂

@odd I’m so happy to hear you found something that works for you. We can’t help our brains being wired differently. I’ve never felt crazy either. Take care, Odd!
