@jasonekratz Good going! I almost never drink anything with alcohol anymore either, and if I do, I have regrets.

@pimoore I really appreciated the expressiveness of this post and can relate to the sentiment. Sometimes things are just better in your imagination.

@jasonekratz Congrats Jason, well done! I feel exactly the same way as I’ve aged that alcohol started to disagree with me, even though I never drank much. Some people over time can develop a reaction to alcohol that can have systemic effects, while others have always had it.

@rcrackley Thanks Robert, it really is analogous to your “eyes being bigger than your stomach”. Almost always, you feel regretful and like shit after the fact.

@pimoore I stopped drinking wine with meals in 2017 when my dad became terminally ill, at that point both my parents had stopped. I occasionally have some booze in a pudding, or if I’m having a celebratory meal, but that’s it. Like you, I think I’ve become less tolerant of alcohol, and honestly I don’t feel the need to imbibe anymore.

@alanralph Agreed, with the general unhappiness and feelings of defeat I’m still dealing with, I’m at the point where I need to evaluate what I allow into my life. If it’s not bringing something tangibly positive, that should make me think twice.
