@manton Couldn’t agree more. It’s time for Cook to go. Apple needs someone who can execute on product, not just the spreadsheet and supply chain logistics stuff. Vision, it needs someone with even a little bit of vision.
@manton@manton.org.his one shining strength, his "north star" as it fucken were, has always been supply chain, since the IBM and Compaq days. That's his dent in the universe. Everything else is incidental.
@manton I agree. It’s been long since time for a new visionary to take over. Not a Steve Jobs clone, but someone with fresh, new, timely ideas who will guide Apple, and take guidance from Apple people and users, to new levels of excellence. Open source Classic Mac OS, lower prices of upgrades, allow internal teams to fly spiritual new pirate flags and test the boundaries of technological advancement, and invest in 3rd party developers. As the first corporation to reach $3T in value and one of the wealthiest in the world, it’s not like they don’t have enough cash reserves. And, this might be controversial, maybe it’s time to stop being so secretive.
@tylerknowsnothing Right, there will never be another Steve Jobs. Let’s see where a new vision could take them. Also agree about letting go of the secrecy.
@manton Yes I think Tim Cook’s spreadsheet cooking has run it’s course. I think it’s time for Apple should change in leadership, be more transparent and get back to its creative roots.
