Iāve ādowngradedā from an iPhone 16 Pro to an iPhone 16. š AMA
@hunsanger Mostly weight and size. The 16 Pro crossed the invisible line into ātoo heavyā and ātoo bigā. The 16 doesnāt fix much on the size, itās still too big, but the wright gets back into āmanageableā territory.
@mandaris The 16 Pro was just too big and heavy. And I didnāt feel good about spending the extra couple hundred dollars on something that I kinda disliked. There were things I definitely liked about it more (better screen, telephoto lens, longer battery life) but not enough to even the odds against the weight, size, and cost.
@hunsanger Oh, and I went with black, regular size, and 128GB. I like that the colors are vibrant this year, but Iām disappointed that none were colors that Iād want to carry. If they debut a product red phone later in the cycle, Iāll be extra disappointed that I couldnāt get that one now!
@jarrod I have a 15 Pro Max and I can't see myself going back to any smaller sizes! š¤·š»āāļø
@jarrod Great to know, this was the first year in many, that I was seriously tempted by the non-Pro series. I was worried about the screen quality with the loss of Pro-Motion. Do you feel you notice?
@hunsanger Nope! But Iām coming from a 13 mini, so I wasnāt used to the fancy screen to begin with, so YMMV. The two weeks I had with the Pro didnāt spoil me.
