I’ve “downgraded” from an iPhone 16 Pro to an iPhone 16. 🙃 AMA
@hunsanger Mostly weight and size. The 16 Pro crossed the invisible line into “too heavy” and “too big”. The 16 doesn’t fix much on the size, it’s still too big, but the wright gets back into “manageable” territory.
@mandaris The 16 Pro was just too big and heavy. And I didn’t feel good about spending the extra couple hundred dollars on something that I kinda disliked. There were things I definitely liked about it more (better screen, telephoto lens, longer battery life) but not enough to even the odds against the weight, size, and cost.
@hunsanger Oh, and I went with black, regular size, and 128GB. I like that the colors are vibrant this year, but I’m disappointed that none were colors that I’d want to carry. If they debut a product red phone later in the cycle, I’ll be extra disappointed that I couldn’t get that one now!
@jarrod I have a 15 Pro Max and I can't see myself going back to any smaller sizes! 🤷🏻♂️
@numericcitizen I’m glad you like it!
@jarrod Great to know, this was the first year in many, that I was seriously tempted by the non-Pro series. I was worried about the screen quality with the loss of Pro-Motion. Do you feel you notice?
@hunsanger Nope! But I’m coming from a 13 mini, so I wasn’t used to the fancy screen to begin with, so YMMV. The two weeks I had with the Pro didn’t spoil me.
